Edge Architecture’s relationship with SUNY Geneseo spans over ten years. Since 2010, we have been providing architectural design and project management services for the College Campus Auxiliary Services. Our projects for SUNY Geneseo have included dining services, cafes, housing, and campus maintenance projects.

The design creates strong connections between spaces in the Dining Hall, improving the overall experience. Uplifted interiors provide healthier environments for all.

New serving stations and dining upstairs, encourage socialization, studying and healthy eating throughout the entire building. Chefs now serve out front, making connections with students.

New and different food stations are now available, offering a range of choices from international cuisine to comfort food and allergy sensitive options.

Dedicated stations for dessert, pizza and more give the dining hall much more of a “food court” feel than a dated and institutional “cafeteria.”

The main dining area incorporates a pergola hovering above the Fork servery and provides an intimate seating beneath the timber canopy.

Designed to fill the 2-story space with visual interest, the pergola can be enjoyed from the first floor dining area, and from the second floor above.

The north dining room features a fireplace lounge and a video wall. These elements pull students in, providing them with experiences not offered elsewhere.

The fireplace creates a home-like living room feel offering students a familiar and comfortable environment to occupy and interact with peers.

This facility needed to be adaptable, flexible, and invoke students to gather and enjoy the Geneseo student experience, playing a pivotal role in Geneseo’s vision of Eat-Study-Play.

Renovation to the College Union included the first green Starbucks project in upstate New York, including reclaimed & recycled materials, and improved processes.

Gathering spaces were created and positioned adjacent to Starbucks for informal study groups and social interaction.

The Fusion Market College Union Renovation addressed a desire to provide students with a fresh new interior and menu, along with mechanical and equipment upgrades.
